I was a peer mentor for CS 220: Data Science Programming I in Fall 2022. This was my first peer mentor job for CS Department. I spent approximately 8 hrs per week for this job.

Description

This is an intro data science programming course. The course covers the basic of python programming, data wrangling, csv, pandas, web, and data visualization.

Responsibilities

Peer Mentor’s responsibilities for this class is similar to TA except no grading. I held office hours, weekly lab sessions to help student with any conceptual questions and projects. I was also responsible to design exam questions and proctor exams. I created about 8 questions per exams. Check them out here.

Workload

About 8hrs on average per week. 5.5 on office hours, 1.5 on labs, 0.5 on exam questions, 0.5 on meetings.
